Vaco is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team as a Consultant in Phoenix, AZ. The hybrid role focuses on a robust accounting function and timely financial reporting, with a pay rate of $45–$55 per hour depending on experience.

The project is estimated at 3–6 months, offering opportunities to contribute to month-end close, GL reconciliation, and GAAP-compliant reporting while collaborating across teams and expanding professional networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP software.
• Commitment to duration and project needs.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to month-end close processes.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Support preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies and irregularities.
• Ad hoc projects as assigned.
