Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time, unarmed Security Officer in Milpitas, CA. The role involves patrolling the site, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting a welcoming environment while using technology to document activities.

You will provide customer service to employees and visitors, respond to security concerns, and coordinate with first responders and leadership. The schedule is DayTimeSat 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM, Sun 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM, with a pay rate of $25.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, parking areas, building perimeter, and other designated areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site contacts, first responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related observations, incidents, and operational needs.
