Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Hazard Assessment) in Menlo Park, CA. You will monitor assigned areas, perform routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents at a technology-focused location.

Responsibilities include managing access, verifying credentials, and delivering professional customer service while adhering to site policies. Prior security experience and a valid guard card are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience of 3+ years or a college degree.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and access concerns calmly, escalating as required by site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and document observations and incidents.
• Maintain a professional presence and communicate daily activities to leadership.
