Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time DCJS Licensed Patrol in Fairfax, VA. This role offers reliable, fixed shifts with a six-month commitment and the option to earn more by picking up additional shifts across sites.

You will provide customer service at a healthcare location, conduct patrols, monitor entrances, respond to incidents, and document observations. A VA DCJS license, 6 months of security experience, high school diploma, and a background check are required.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A valid Virginia DCJS license is required.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law for employment.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances and perimeter.
• Respond to incidents and requests for assistance in a calm, professional manner.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; report suspicious activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents and patrol observations.
