Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer for credential verification at a government transportation location in Amenia, NY. You will monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain visitor logs while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires 2+ years of security experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to obtain and maintain required licenses. Work is on a part-time schedule with afternoon to overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Possession of a state, county, or city-issued security license.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to commuters, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and access-control policies.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, identification, permits, and authorization for individuals entering restricted areas.
• Maintain accurate access logs and communicate visitor, contractor, delivery, and access-related activity to site personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access-control concerns following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, public areas, and perimeter.
