Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security-related experience.
• Valid New York State Security Guard License.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required for employment.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and the public while carrying out security-related procedures at a government transportation location.
• Monitor access points, verify IDs, issue visitor credentials, and maintain access-control records.
• Screen and direct visitors, vendors, and deliveries according to procedures.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies, notifying site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of entrances, public areas, and perimeter locations to identify hazards and access-control concerns.
