Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time vehicle driver to transport public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, punctuality and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities include bus inspections, maintaining cleanliness and mechanical safety, enforcing safety rules, assisting students, and volunteering in the LifeWise classroom when approved by the Director.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Regular driver's license; license must have been continuously held for the past three years.
• CDL with passenger endorsement (P) required for vehicles seating more than 15.
• 15-passenger van: no special license required.
• Age between 21 and 80; additional documentation for drivers over 75.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in the last five years.
• Background check completion required.
• Annual physician's statement for any known medical conditions.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing as required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children.
• Enforce safety rules and assist students entering/exiting the vehicle.
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor, and be aware of students needing help.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if approved by the Director.
