Harford County Public Schools is seeking a Satellite Kitchen Assistant for a 6-hour shift at Hall's Cross Roads Elementary School. You will support the Food and Nutrition Services at the school level and liaise with the production school’s manager.

Responsibilities include receiving and inspecting food, placing orders, training staff, POS accountability, and maintaining inventories while ensuring compliance with health and service standards.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Meet health department’s personal hygiene standards.
• Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills.
• Physically able to lift up to 40 pounds; may require a valid driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Receive and inspect incoming food and equipment for quality, quantity, temperature, and condition.
• Inform the manager about progress, problems, or needs at the satellite kitchen.
• Place selected food orders and communicate food/supply needs to the manager.
• Assist in training and directing other kitchen staff at the satellite location.
• Handle point-of-sale computer accountability.
• Follow health department procedures and satellite kitchen instructions.
• Ensure sanitation and Food and Nutrition Services procedures are followed.
• Maintain positive relations with students, staff, coworkers, and parents.
• Complete inventories of food, equipment, supplies, and cleaning materials.
• Assist in meal promotions and menu planning; ensure compliance with standards.
