Job summary

LifeWise Academy is hiring a part-time vehicle driver to transport public school students to and from the LifeWise site. Responsibilities include safe driving, vehicle upkeep, and ensuring a nurturing environment for children.

Must have a valid driver’s license; CDL with passenger endorsement is required for larger vehicles. A clean driving record, background check, and drug testing are required, with possible additional documents for drivers over 75.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driver's license and, for 15-passenger vehicles, CDL with Passenger endorsement.
• Age 21–80; drivers over 75 may require additional documentation per policy.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or major violations in 5 years.
• Must pass background check and annual Physician's Statement if medically required.
• Must complete drug and/or alcohol testing as required.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
• Assist students entering/exiting the vehicle and monitor behavior.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if agreed with the Director.
