Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital CDH Med/Surg Intermediate (3C) unit is seeking a nurse for a part-time schedule of 7am–7:30pm with rotating weekends. This fast-paced, high-acuity unit delivers multidisciplinary rounds and patient‑centered care in a 26-bed setting.

The Staff Nurse Inpatient role focuses on assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, coordinating care with the health team while maintaining ANA standards and NM ethics.

Qualifications

• BSN required; IL RN license
• American Heart Association BLS required
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Analytical abilities to assess and plan patient care

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, identifies outcomes, develops and implements an individualized plan, coordinates care delivery and evaluates progress toward outcomes.
• Directs care and determines appropriate utilization of any assistant involved in direct patient care.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff, documenting plans focused on outcomes.
• Participates in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects.
• Evaluates and documents patient responses to nursing interventions and individualizes plans.
• Uses best available evidence to guide practice decisions.
