Job summary

Intermountain Health in Butte, Montana is seeking a part-time RN Shift Lead I to provide leadership and clinical expertise on the day shift. You will coordinate unit resources to align staffing with census and acuity, and serve as a clinical role model for staff.

Responsibilities include supervising direct patient care, responding to emergencies, coordinating with staffing, communicating with the Charge Nurse, and supporting the hospital's mission and values.

Qualifications

• Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team to achieve patient-focused outcomes.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure with whole numbers and decimals.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions and procedures.
• Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and/or provides direct patient care and supports staff in problem solving.
• Respond to patient emergencies as needed as the charge or lead for disasters.
• Collaborates with staffing to adjust numbers of staff for census changes during the shift.
• Communicates with the oncoming Charge Nurse about census, staffing, admissions and discharges.
• Promotes mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health.
• May be required to float to other departments based on business need.
• May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
