Qualifications

• BSN degree from an accredited program is required within 4 years unless 15 years of acute care service.
• Current State of Montana Registered Nurse License.
• BLS Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and/or provides direct patient care and supports staff in problem solving patient/family concerns and safety.
• Responds to patient emergencies and acts as charge or lead for disasters.
• Collaborates with staffing office to adjust staff for census changes during shift.
• Communicates with the oncoming Charge Nurse about census, staffing and patient information.
• Supports unit management in productivity, staffing and timekeeping; participates in committees as needed.
• Promotes Intermountain Health values and service standards; performs other duties as assigned.
• May float to other departments within competency; may be placed on-call during shifts.
