Job summary

Qualifications

• BSN degree from an accredited program required within the stated timeframe.
• Current State of Montana RN License.
• BLS Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and/or provides direct patient care; supports staff in problem solving related to patient/family complaints, physician concerns, risk management, safety, and hospital operations.
• Responds to patient emergencies as needed and acts as charge or lead for disasters.
• Collaborates with staffing office to adjust staff numbers for census changes during shifts.
• Communicates with the oncoming Charge Nurse about census, staffing, admissions, discharges, and handoff information.
• Supports unit management in productivity, staffing, timekeeping, and coordinating unit activities.
• Participates in hospital committees as unit representative as needed.
• Promotes Intermountain Health mission, vision, and values and adheres to service behavior standards.
• Performs other duties and may float to other departments within competency; may be placed on-call during shifts.
