Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Staff Nurse to provide age-specific, evidence-based nursing care from admission to discharge. You will assess patients, collaborate with the care team, and implement plans of care aligned with best practices.

Responsibilities include organizing data, documenting outcomes, and engaging in discharge planning while educating patients and families. ER/Pediatric ER experience and additional cardio certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN required and active IL RN license.
• BLS required; ACLS/PALS/ENPC/TNCC per ER roles.
• ADN acceptable with plan to obtain BSN within 3 years.
• Strong collaboration and analytical skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and record patient status at admission/point of care.
• Organize health data for accurate, accessible care planning.
• Identify problems needing immediate attention and document plans.
• Develop and update an individualized plan of care with the team.
• Educate patients and families based on evidence-based practice.
