Qualifications

• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
• ACLS, PALS/ENPC & TNCC within one year of hire for ER and pediatric ER.
• BLS certification (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Assess and record patient status and identify care needs at admission.
• Organize health data so it is accurate and accessible.
• Identify problems needing immediate attention.
• Validate diagnoses with patient and health care team.
• Document diagnoses and plan of care.
• Initiate discharge planning at admission and coordinate with patient/family.
• Provide patient and family education based on evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary meetings and referrals as needed.
