Job summary

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license is required.
• 1 year of experience in assisted living or long-term care preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A minimum of 6 months experience as an RN is required.
• Experience with seniors or cognitive impairment preferred.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office and web applications.
• CPR/BLS certification required; training must be completed within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with residents and families using a caregiver approach, focusing on resident-first care.
• Perform clinical duties in line with state nurse practice act and standards.
• Promote resident independence by setting care goals and teaching self-care.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond to changes to ensure comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with care associates to provide routine nursing care.
• Maintain infection prevention practices and administer medications per orders.
• Coordinate holistic care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Document resident care in the EMR accurately and timely.
• Participate in care conferences as requested by Clinical Manager.
