Job summary

The Michaels Companies is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Manager at the Wausau location to lead a high-performing selling culture and drive strong sales while delivering an engaging customer experience.

Responsibilities include SOP compliance, coaching, MOD coverage, POS operations, and managing in-store programs. The role supports omni-channel fulfillment and partner services while working nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent customer interactions.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing SOPs and Company programs for compliance.
• Ensure execution of policies, standards, and store conditions.
• Coach customer experience and selling behaviors to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout systems for smooth transactions.
• Oversee in-store programs and events (e.g., balloons, loyalty, protection plans).
• Drive omni-channel service with BOPIS and Same Day Delivery execution.
• Support framing operations and Knit & Sew Shop activities as needed.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skills.
