Job summary

FirstCash in Houston, TX is seeking a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate to greet customers, assist with sales, loans, and pawn services. You’ll earn $10.00-$14.00 per hour plus commission, with Earned Wage Access after day 2 and employee discounts from day one.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean sales floor, processing transactions, and delivering a friendly, compliant customer experience across merchandise, loans, and buy/sell decisions. Bilingual applicants encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Experience with firearms in FFL locations; certification provided.
• Willingness to assist customers or retrieve merchandise from exterior areas.
• Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with sales, loans, and product inquiries
• Support customers with pawn and short-term loan services by explaining terms, completing paperwork, and ensuring a smooth, customer-focused experience
• Process sales and loan activity accurately while following company and regulatory guidelines
• Evaluate merchandise for condition and value to support buying, selling, and loan decisions
• Maintain a clean, organized sales floor and merchandise displays
• Handle cash and negotiable items responsibly
• Support store operations, including basic opening/closing tasks
• Communicate clearly with customers and team members
• Complete required training and follow company policies
• Perform other duties as assigned
