Job summary

FirstCash in Houston, TX is seeking a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate to greet customers, assist with pawn and loan services, and process sales. You will work with a variety of merchandise and earn commission on top of your hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Able to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to work weekends/holidays.
• Comfortable handling a variety of merchandise (including firearms in FFL locations; certification provided).
• Basic math and computer skills; retail checkout systems experience a plus.
• Able to assist customers or retrieve merchandise from exterior areas.
• Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with sales, loans, and product inquiries.
• Explain terms and complete paperwork for pawn and short-term loan services.
• Process sales and loan activity accurately per guidelines.
• Evaluate merchandise for condition and value to support buying, selling, and loan decisions.
• Maintain a clean, organized sales floor and displays.
• Handle cash and negotiable items responsibly.
• Support store operations, including opening/closing tasks.
• Communicate clearly with customers and team members.
• Complete required training and follow company policies.
