Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions, and help maintain store operations.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred) and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. Prior retail or service experience is highly valued; strong communication and organizational skills are essential for daily interactions with customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail or customer service experience in a relevant setting preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain store cleanliness, bathrooms, floors, and trash; keep areas neat and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
