Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers with questions, manage sales transactions at the register, and keep the store clean and well-stocked.

This part-time role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, customer service experience preferred, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. You’ll unload merchandise, stock shelves, and maintain safety and friendliness in all interactions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant or grocery is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operating documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
