Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You’ll assist customers, handle transactions, and keep the store stocked and clean to meet productivity standards.

You should be able to lift 30–50 lbs and work in a fast-paced retail environment. Part-time, with benefits such as EAP, retirement plans, and education support, is offered where available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions on the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates.
• Keep store clean including bathrooms; sweep and mop floors; take out trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
