Job summary

Family Dollar seeks a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver friendly service and support store operations. You will assist customers, process transactions, stock shelves, and help unload shipments while maintaining a safe, clean environment.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for long periods. Equal opportunity employer; ADA accommodations available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform duties requiring frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful store environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and waste management.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
