Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, maintain store cleanliness, and help with stock replenishment and unloading.

The role emphasizes safety, professionalism, and positive interactions with customers and colleagues. Previous retail or service experience is preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent is desirable. Part-time option available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail/food service experience highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
