Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers with questions, process sales at the register, stock shelves, and keep the store clean and organized while maintaining a friendly, professional environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, retail or service experience, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Process sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain store cleanliness, restrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
