Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle sales at the register, maintain cash security, stock shelves, unload shipments, and ensure a clean, safe store.

This role requires good communication and problem-solving, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the flexibility of part-time hours in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail or service industry preferred.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs.
• Ability to follow instructions and read operational documents.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the register.
• Maintain cash security and protect assets.
• Stock merchandise and recover store areas.
• Unload merchandise and replenish stock per productivity standards.
• Ensure the store is clean, safe, and presentable (bathrooms, floors, trash).
• Provide professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
