Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to aid in store operations, customer service, and staff development. You will assist in day-to-day activities, organize merchandise, and ensure clean, safe stores.

You will help train Store Associates, support opening/closing procedures, and maintain excelling customer service while upholding company policies and directives. This role is part-time and based at the McCormick, SC location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize merchandise and maintain seasonal store areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process directives and communicate store activities.
• Maintain attractive and well-stocked sales floors and stockrooms.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, and cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Train and develop Store Associates and supervise teams.
• Maintain clean, safe, and presentable stores and safeguard assets.
• Other duties as assigned.
