Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandise organization, stock transfer from delivery to floor, and ensure décor and promotions remain effective.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and the ability to work in a high-energy retail environment. You will help supervise staff, apply safety guidelines, and maintain a clean, welcoming store atmosphere.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize merchandise and maintain seasonal areas of the store.
• Open and close procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications about store activities.
• Maintain fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handle damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized.
