Job summary

Family Dollar in Spartanburg, SC is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandise flow, open/close procedures, and ensure store standards and safety policies are followed.

You will train and supervise Store Associates, address customer questions, and help maintain clean, well-stocked sales floors and stockrooms. This role offers part-time hours with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communications.
• Maintain store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets and cash.
• Ensure policies and safety procedures are followed.
• Train and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
