Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities and support the Store Manager in leading a team.

You will help organize merchandise, maintain store cleanliness, and ensure policies are followed while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment at our Ladson location. This role offers part-time hours and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and be able to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, and push/pull regularly.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities and maintain promotional displays.
• Maintain store areas to company standards and protect store assets, including cash.
• Assist Store Manager with training and development of Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
