Job summary

Family Dollar in McCormick, SC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, support customers, and help move merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.

The role involves opening/closing procedures, adherence to directives, scheduling, and loss prevention. You will supervise and train store associates and maintain a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store tasks.
• Retail management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support the Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and secure assets.
