Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Rehabilitation Assistant to support outpatient rehabilitation near Grafton-Mayfair. You will assist with patient positioning, transfers, therapeutic modalities, and exercises under supervision, while also handling registration, scheduling and basic clerical tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma, about 1 year of healthcare-related experience, and BLS within six months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in health care, public relations or health care education.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months unless not required by leader.

Responsibilities

• Supports direct patient contact activities under supervision, including transfers, modalities, and gait training.
• Improves therapist efficiency by efficient patient flow and problem solving.
• Performs registration, scheduling, cashiering, admitting and follow-up of patients for efficient care.
• Handles reception/clerical duties and coordinates appointments with other areas.
• Reviews therapy orders and maintains department records and billing forms.
