Job summary

The Park District of LaGrange seeks a BASE Site Leader to manage the BASE program site, plan activities, and supervise staff. You will ensure student safety, coordinate schedules, and serve as the main point of contact for parents and school personnel.

Responsibilities include program operations, staff training, and maintaining records while upholding district policies. CPR/First Aid certification is required or obtained on hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; coursework in Education or Child Development preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with children in educational or recreational settings.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience required.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification or ability to obtain on hire.
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities and daily schedules.
• Supervise, train, and support staff; maintain staff-to-student ratios.
• Serve as primary contact for parents and school staff; communicate regularly.
• Maintain accurate records and safety procedures; ensure facility is safe and clean.
• Address behavioral issues and resolve conflicts as they arise.
