Job summary

Lombard Park District is seeking a Club Rec Assistant Site Supervisor to help plan weekly activities for kindergarten through fifth grade students and supervise daily programs before and after school. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and positive role modeling in a school setting.

You will coordinate activities, assist with homework, and ensure a welcoming environment. This seasonal, part-time position requires reliable transportation and CPR/First Aid certification within one month of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; college coursework or degree preferred.
• Reliable, outgoing and friendly personality with a desire to serve and educate children.
• Previous experience working with children is required.
• Ability to collaborate with staff, parents and school partners.
• Effective written and verbal communication; customer service experience is a plus.
• Safely manage situations and respond calmly in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with weekly lesson plan development and lead various activities.
• Supervise activities while maintaining a fun, safe environment for K–5 students.
• Support homework, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities as scheduled.
• Check-in/check-out students, administer basic first aid, and perform setup/breakdown.
• Work calendar year including early dismissal days and seasonal camps as available.
• Represent the Lombard Park District professionally to students, families and staff.
