Job summary

Butterfly Effects is seeking Registered Behavior Technicians to directly assist children with autism, implementing ABA-based plans and supporting families. The part-time role runs Monday–Friday 3–7pm, with an hourly pay between $21.00 and $28.00 depending on experience, education, and certifications.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, RBT certification if obtained, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a criminal background check.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Registered Behavior Technician Certification if already obtained.
• Passion for Children: A genuine love for working with children.
• Positive Attitude: Strong interpersonal skills for working with children and families.
• Experience: Prior experience with children is advantageous.
• Continuous Learning: Interest in ongoing development.
• Transportation: Must have reliable transportation.
• Background: Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-C Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
• Observes, records, and reports on client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily.
• Manages challenging behaviors.
• Applies behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
• Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills.
• Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavior analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
• Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
• Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent, and timely manner through our online database.
• Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills.
• Maitains confidentiality of client information.
• Follows BE policies and procedures.
