Your Day-to-Day and Long-Term Goals

In this role, you will own the day-to-day transactional bookkeeping. Your work will directly impact our business health and our ability to make informed decisions.

On a weekly basis, you will:

• Record and categorize all daily bank and credit card transactions in QuickBooks Online.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and merchant accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Process accounts payable, ensuring vendors and subcontractors are paid accurately and on time.
• Monitor accounts receivable, sending invoice reminders and tracking customer payments.
• Maintain organized digital files of receipts, invoices, and financial documents.

Over time, success looks like:

• Maintaining a highly organized, error-free QuickBooks ledger that is always ready for monthly close.
• Providing clear, reliable financial reports to the business owner at the end of each month.
• Establishing efficient tracking processes that streamline our billing and expense management.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

• QuickBooks Online Expertise: Direct, hands-on experience navigating and managing transactions specifically within QuickBooks Online.
• Bookkeeping Fundamentals: A solid understanding of basic accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Attention to Detail: A natural ability to spot discrepancies, correct errors, and ensure data integrity.
