City of North Las Vegas is seeking a Part-Time Program Specialist to support indoor and outdoor parks and recreation activities. You will work with program participants in a dynamic, active setting across ages and locations, including after-school programs and special events.

This entry-level role requires 16 years old or older, valid Nevada ID, First Aid/CPR within two weeks, a health card within 30 days, and bilingual skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Experience in parks and recreation preferred; entry level capabilities for program services.
• Bilingual skills are preferred.
• Must possess a valid Nevada state driver’s license/ID or ability to obtain one.
• Must possess a Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate within two weeks of hire; training provided.
• Must possess a Clark County Health Card (Food Handler Card) within 30 days of hire.
• Foreign education must include a U.S. equivalency evaluation from a NACES/AICE member.

Responsibilities

• Carry out indoor and outdoor parks and recreation activities.
• Work directly with program participants in various settings (early childhood, aquatics, sports, day camp, etc.).
• Assist with a range of programs including Safekey, after-school, and special events.
• Support schedules and adapt to varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, overtime, stand by and holidays.

Works directly with program participants in a physically active recreation program environment.
