Job summary

The City of North Las Vegas seeks a Senior Training Specialist to conduct comprehensive analyses of training needs, design and implement tailored programs, and align employee development with the City’s core values of Accountability, Communication, and Teamwork.

Under general direction, you will collaborate with stakeholders, apply adult learning principles, and support a 36-hour work week (Mon-Thu, 8:00am–6:00pm). The role includes a structured selection process and a pre-employment screening.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training and Development, Human Resources, or closely related field.
• Five years of experience in training and development with a focus on needs assessment, instructional design, and training delivery.
• Public Sector experience is preferred.
• Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Nevada state driver’s license and maintain satisfactory motor vehicle record.
