Job summary

The Salvation Army in Jamestown, NY is seeking a Part Time Prevention Educator to join our Anew Center Team. This role focuses on school-based prevention education, community training, and outreach to prevent sexual assault and domestic violence throughout Chautauqua County.

Responsibilities include delivering programs, providing crisis advocacy, and coordinating with local partners. A shift may include shelter coverage and requires collaboration with the Prevention Education Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Must complete sexual assault training to be a certified rape crisis counselor.
• Must have computer/typing skills for statistics and case files.
• Able to drive a 12-passenger vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver school-based and community education on rape, sexual assault, and domestic violence.
• Provide outreach, training, and support groups in Chautauqua County.
• Coordinate with DSS, hospitals, law enforcement and other agencies to ensure quality services.
• Maintain accurate records and submit reports for funders and the agency.
• Provide crisis intervention, advocacy, and shelter coverage as needed.
• Attend inter-agency and coalition meetings and represent the program in the community.
