Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory in Jamestown seeks a Prevention Education Title IX Advocate to join the Anew Center. This full-time role focuses on school-based primary prevention education, community outreach, and professional training to reduce sexual assault and domestic violence in Chautauqua County.

You will coordinate training for staff and volunteers, provide crisis support and advocacy, and collaborate with local DSS, hospitals, and law enforcement.

Qualifications

• Must satisfactorily complete the sexual assault training to be a certified rape crisis counselor and attend a minimum of 10 additional training hours per year.
• Must have computer/typing skills to complete statistics, maintain case files, and correspond via email.
• Able to drive a 12-passenger vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver rape, sexual assault, and domestic violence education programs to students.
• Coordinate community education programs and trainings on these topics.
• Maintain records, prepare reports, and submit statistics to funders.
• Collaborate with DSS, hospitals, law enforcement, and other human service agencies.
• Provide crisis intervention, advocacy, and shelter coverage as needed.
• Attend inter-agency meetings and coordinate training registrations for staff and volunteers.
