Job summary

Loudoun County Parks, Recreation & Community Services (PRCS) is seeking a part-time Preschool Aide to support preschool-aged children in our program locations in Ashburn and Sterling, VA. Responsibilities include supervising activities, promoting safe play, and maintaining open communication with families and staff.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, six months of experience with children, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months programmatic experience with children.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Background checks (pre-employment fingerprinting and CPS) required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors children’s behavior, ensures staff-to-student ratios, and follows approved guidelines.
• Teaches and supervises preschool children.
• Encourages exploration and play through classroom activities.
• Maintains open communication with parents, staff, and school personnel at the site.
• Participates in team meetings and supports program objectives.
