Loudoun County Parks, Recreation & Community Services (PRCS) seeks energetic Preschool Teacher Substitutes to provide classroom coverage across several centers in Loudoun County. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Six months’ programmatic experience with children or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be physically able to keep up with participants and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and guiding children through classroom activities, encouraging exploration, playing, and self‑care.
• Engaging with parents, staff, and site personnel in a professional and friendly manner.
• Supervising and ensuring the safety of preschool‑aged children.
• Observing and responding to children’s needs and behaviors.
• Carrying out daily classroom routines and activities prepared by the lead teacher.
• May carry out additional critical job responsibilities pertinent to the specific role and departmental assignment.
