Job summary

BioLife is hiring a part-time Plasma Donor Screener and phlebotomy helper to support center operations in Toledo, OH. You will screen donors, perform phlebotomy, and ensure donor safety and accurate documentation.

You will join BioLife’s team under Takeda’s umbrella, with paid training and a comprehensive benefits program. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required, with a starting hourly wage of $16.00 and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and stand for the entire shift.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach.
• Lift to 5 lbs., occasional lifting up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and hearing equipment from distance.
• Due to exposure to bloodborne pathogens, 90% of tasks require glove wear.
• 1+ years in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors, focusing on donor safety and service.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational opportunities for process improvements and implement changes per procedures.
• Work various shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
