Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, LP in Waterloo, IA is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to support plasma center operations with donor screening and phlebotomy. The role emphasizes flexible scheduling, with shifts typically 4-6 hours, 3+ days per week, and a focus on reliable donor service.

You will report to the Plasma Center Manager, perform venipuncture, monitor donors, handle equipment setup, and maintain accurate donor records in the DIS system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to walk/stand for entire shift and work evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Experience in customer or patient-facing roles is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and manage donor flow on the floor.
• Perform venipuncture and operate plasmapheresis equipment.
• Monitor donors and manage potential donor reactions.
• Set up, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment.
• Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets for plasmapheresis machines.
• Stock supplies and handle disposal.
• Record donor measurements and input data into the DIS system.
• Coordinate donor flow and compensate donors via Debit Card system.
• Support center management with process improvements (5S, Kaizen).
