Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Coralville is seeking a dedicated part-time staff member to screen plasma donors and perform phlebotomy to support center operations.

You will answer calls, greet donors, maintain accurate donor charts, and ensure safety during shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training is provided to help you excel and grow within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Lift to 5 lbs, occasional lifting up to 32 lbs and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and hearing equipment from a distance.
• Prolonged glove wear due to exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
• 1+ year experience in a customer or patient facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on donor safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors; measure donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use the Donor Information System; prepare donor charts and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities to improve center processes and apply approved procedures.
• Support donors with varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
