Job summary

BioLife in Houston, TX is seeking a part-time plasma donor screener and phlebotomist to support center operations. Shifts: 4–6 hours, 3+ days per week, with emphasis on reliability and patient care.

You will answer phones, screen donors, record vital signs, maintain donor charts, and coordinate donor compensation while upholding safety. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is expected, with opportunities to grow within a patient-focused team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and stand for the full shift.
• Evening, weekend and holiday availability.
• Ability to lift up to 5 lbs, with occasional lifts up to 32 lbs and rare 50 lbs.
• 1+ years in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on donor safety and team safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and initiate changes using approved procedures.
• Work a variety of shifts including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
