Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Houston, TX is seeking a part-time plasma donor screener who will perform phlebotomy to support center operations. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and work a schedule including weekends and holidays, with 4–6 hour shifts several days per week.

The role emphasizes customer service, reliability, and adherence to safety protocols, while offering meaningful experience in a life-changing medical field.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
• Ability to lift up to 32 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Glove use due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors while ensuring donor and staff safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record donor vital signs and finger-stick results.
• Maintain donor charts and coordinate donor compensation using the Donor Information System.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and initiate changes per approved procedures.
• Work a variety of shifts, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
