BioLife in Houston, TX, is seeking a part-time donor screener/phlebotomy assistant to support plasma center operations. Expect 4–6 hour shifts, 3+ days per week, with weekends and holidays as needed.

You will greet donors, screen them, perform vital signs, and document in the donor system, contributing to safe, high-quality patient care. The role emphasizes reliability, customer service, and adherence to safety protocols, with a starting hourly wage of $16 and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Experience in customer or patient-facing roles is helpful.
• Comfort with prolonged glove use due to exposure risk.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors while ensuring safety.
• Screen donors and record vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use Donor Information System and maintain donor charts.
• Coordinate donor compensation and records.
• Identify operational improvements and initiate changes to center processes.
