Job summary

BioLife is seeking part-time staff to support plasma donation centers in Corpus Christi, TX. Roles include donor screening and phlebotomy, with shifts typically 4–6 hours, 3+ days per week. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and participate in a paid training program.

Responsibilities include donor screening, vital signs, charting, and donor compensation, with flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays. Prior experience in customer-facing roles is helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• 90% of tasks require prolonged glove wear due to bloodborne pathogens.
• 1+ years minimum experience in a customer or patient facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet and focus on our donors, while ensuring donor and team safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors and take and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use our Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using approved procedures.
• Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays to support donors.
