Job summary

BioLife is seeking a part-time Plasma Donor Screener for our Burleson, TX location. You will perform phlebotomy and donor screening to support plasma center operations, reporting to the Plasma Center Manager. Schedule flexibility includes evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to bend, reach and lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.
• Prolonged glove wear due to exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
• 1+ year experience in a customer or patient-facing role (helpful).

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet donors and maintain donor safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors; record donor vital signs and finger sticks.
• Use the Donor Information System; prepare donor charts and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities for center process improvements and implement changes.
• Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
